Meet The Therapist
Supriya Chabria, LMSW
Taking the first step can often be the hardest part of navigating the challenges you’re facing. I’m here to support you from the very beginning.
Hi! I’m Supriya (she/her), and I became a therapist after experiencing firsthand how profoundly life transitions can shape us. I’ve navigated many of the stages that can bring people to therapy: leaving home, building and changing careers, forging a partnership, becoming a parent, caring for loved ones, and experiencing loss and change. My clients often tell me that my life experience, combined with my clinical training, helps them feel genuinely heard and understood. I believe meaningful therapy begins with a strong human connection and grows with expertise, curiosity, and a willingness to do the work together.
About Supriya
My path to becoming a therapist was not a traditional one. Before entering the field of mental health, I spent nearly two decades in corporate leadership, working with people and organizations across industries and around the world. Over time, my own experiences and a growing interest in emotional well-being led me to make a meaningful career change and return to school to become a therapist.
My experiences as a professional, wife, mother, and caregiver have given me an appreciation for the many roles we carry and the transitions that can challenge our sense of identity and balance. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, discovering great food, and finding opportunities for adventure and play.
Education & Training
Masters in Social Work, Fordham University
Masters in Business Administration, Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management
Trained in various modalities - CBT, DBT Skills, SPACE, IFS, ERP
Working with Supriya
My style is warm, collaborative, and practical. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, professional stress, emotional overwhelm, caregiving, identity shifts, and major life transitions. You may look like you have everything together on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected underneath. Together, we’ll work to understand what’s happening beneath the surface and identify what you need to move forward with clarity.
I draw from CBT, DBT skills, IFS-informed interventions, ERP, and SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions), tailoring our work to your needs and goals. I want you to feel genuinely heard while also having practical tools you can use outside of our sessions. My goal is to help you develop greater clarity, confidence, and choice, not to tell you what you should do, but to help you determine what is right for you.
