Staff Therapists

ACNY is a group private practice focusing on competent, quality and accessible therapy in New York. Come build your clinical experience with ACNY! We are currently accepting applications for masters level psychotherapists.

  • a masters level therapist seeking experience and to advance their clinical skills in a private setting

    a masters level therapist interested in working privately, but doesn't want to independently manage the administrative side of being in private practice

    a masters level therapist who want to work in a group practice environment with a community of other practitioners

    a masters level therapist who wants to accrue clinical hours in a private setting

    a masters level therapist looking for community in the private practice sector, with opportunities for supervision and group consultation with other qualified therapists.

  • Provided with referrals to build a caseload that reflects your professional goals

    Minimal administrative work

    Flexible scheduling, including ability to work (100% remote at this time)

  • 10–15 minute phone consultations when requested

    Full-time position: provides psychotherapy services to a caseload minimum of 30 weekly scheduled clients, including individuals and couples (1–2 evenings/week and weekend day required)

    Part-time position: Provides psychotherapy services to a caseload minimum of 20 weekly scheduled clients, including individuals and couples (1–2 evening/week and weekend day)

    Maintains case notes, logs and all required documentation within 24 hours of sessions held

    Participates in weekly clinical supervision

    Case management services including care coordination, including collaborating with referral sources and connecting clients to care

  • Provisionally licensed and possess an LMSW, MHC-LP, or MFT licensed in New York

    Education, training and demonstrated success providing therapy to your niche

    Excellent written and spoken communication skills

    Be available to see clients on at least 1 weekend day, early mornings and evening

    At least 1 year of experience in assessment, treatment planning, and providing psychotherapy

    At least 1 year of experience in providing individual, couples, and/or family therapy

    Organized and able to submit progress notes and respond to emails in a timely manner, and in accordance to ACNY policies

Senior Staff Therapists 

ACNY is a group private practice focusing on competent, quality and accessible therapy in New York. Come advance your clinical supervisory skills with ACNY! We are currently accepting applications for full licensed clinicians as supervisors.

  • A fully licensed clinician seeking supervisory experience in a private setting

    A fully licensed clinician who is interested in working privately, but doesn’t want to independently manage the administrative side of being in private practice

    A fully licensed clinician who wants to work in a group practice environment

    A fully licensed clinician with management and supervisory experience looking to have a role with a mix of clinical, supervisory, and management tasks

    A fully licensed clinician who wants a management / supervisory role, but doesn’t want to work at a non-profit

    A fully licensed clinician who is energized by helping others in a team and contributing to the growth of your team and ACNY

  • Provided with referrals to build a caseload that reflects your professional goals

  • Fulltime—

    Caseload of 25+ weekly scheduled clients

    Maintains case notes, logs and all required documentation within 24 hours of sessions held

    Case management services including care coordination, including collaborating with referral sources and connecting clients to care

    Supervise minimum of 5–6 clinicians in weekly group supervision

    Oversee clinical work of supervisees

    Ensure documentation is completed in a timely manner and in accordance with ACNY policy

    Review documentation including treatment plans and progress notes

    Part-time—

    Caseload of 15 weekly scheduled clients

    Maintains case notes, logs and all required documentation within 24 hours of sessions held

    Case management services including care coordination, including collaborating with referral sources and connecting clients to care

    Supervise minimum of 5–6 clinicians in weekly group supervision

    Oversee clinical work of supervisees

    Ensure documentation is completed in a timely manner and in accordance with ACNY policy

    Review documentation including treatment plans and progress notes

  • Possess an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, LMFT, PsyD, PhD, and be licensed in New York

    Education, training and demonstrated success providing therapy to your niche

    Excellent written and spoken communication skills

    At least 4 years of experience in assessment, treatment planning, and providing psychotherapy

    At least 4 years of experience in providing individual, couples, and/or family therapy

    Organized and able to submit progress notes and respond to emails in a timely manner, and in accordance to ACNY policies

Advanced Clinical Interns

ACNY is a group private practice focusing on competent, quality and accessible therapy in New York. Come build your clinical experience with ACNY! We are currently accepting applications for internships.

  • A graduate-level student seeking experience and to advance their clinical skills in a group private setting

    A graduate-level student who wants to accrue clinical hours in a private group practice setting post-graduation

  • Provided with referrals to build a caseload

    Minimal administrative work

    Reception and billing services provided

    Flexible scheduling, including ability to work remote

    Collegial, team-oriented and supportive work environment

    Supervision

  • 21 hours/week

    Phone consultations for potential clients

    Caseload of 15 weekly scheduled clients, including individuals and couples

    Create, market and facilitate a therapy group

    Maintain case notes, logs, and all required documentation

    Write 1 blog per month

    Participates in weekly group clinical supervision

    Marketing tasks for self and ACNY

    In a current MSW, MFT or MHC accredited graduate program

    Must be able to practice as an intern in New York State

    A graduate student with at least 1 year of prior clinical experience

    2nd-year students only

    Preferred: relevant clinical work experience before starting school

    Ability to start as a Summer Intern with us prior to Fall/Spring (start date: May 15th/June 1)
